Cell Phone Policy

All electronic personal devices (e.g. cell phones, iPods) will not be permitted for usage by students in Caroline School from 8:45 a.m. - 3:25 p.m., Monday to Friday. During these hours, these devices may be stored in a student’s locker for usage before or after school. However, if a device is seen outside of a student’s locker or in a student’s possession in the school during the stated hours, the device will be confiscated and delivered to the office as soon as possible.

Any confiscated device may be retrieved from the office by the student’s parent or guardian only. The device will remain in possession of the administration until a parent or guardian is able to retrieve it.

Other electronic devices owned by a student such as laptop computers, tablets, and iPads may be used during class time at the classroom teacher’s discretion. Any usage of such devices deemed inappropriate during the aforementioned school hours by a WRSD employee (Educational Assistants, office staff, teachers, or administrators) will result in the device being confiscated as well.

Inappropriate usage may include, but is not limited to social media, gaming, and inappropriate surfing of the internet.
